Worth a read: Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine

A book that's probably graced the bedside table of almost every twenty-something year old woman this summer, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine is just a delight.

Body hair, don't care.

When I hear a friend, colleague or even stranger in the toilet's on a night out say "I couldn't be bothered shaving my legs", it's absolute music to my ears. Because neither could I.

Catwalk Killa Launch Party

Firstly - long time, no blog! I've lost my blogging mojo a lil bit as of late, but I'm hoping to get back on it and start regularly posting again.

A few weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Catwalk Killa launch party. The brand has just been set up by super stylish and hilarious pair, Lauren and Vicky. Lauren has her own amazing blog, Fashion Panic, so it's no surprise that the clothes from Catwalk Killa are simply gorgeous!

The launch party was held at Lammars in Manchester; a really funky venue with a lovely vibe. We were greeted with sweets, cakes and bubbly - three of my fave thangs! But obviously the clothes were the main attraction. I'm a sucker for co-ords and monochrome, so I was instantly drawn to this beautiful jacket and skirt duo. It'd be perfect for work with a white blouse or as an evening outfit with some clashing patterned heels. This beautiful Twiggy-esque shift dress is also top of my list - just look at that print!

The event was a definite success and it was lovely to see some blogger babes again and meet more. If you're on the hunt for some gorgeous clothes or just feel like treating yourself, you should definitely check out Catwalk Killa. You can show Lauren and Vicky some love over on their FacebookTwitter and Instagram pages too. They're two really lovely girls who deserve tonnes of support. Congrats ladies!

#HomeIsWhereTheSpaIs: Current Body Event

Beauty and skincare aren't areas I would ever call myself an expert in. So, when I got invited to attend the Current Body event in Manchester a couple of weeks ago, I jumped at the chance! It was held at the beautiful Artisan in Spinningfields, a truly lovely venue and perfect for such a classy evening.

I popped along with my beauty obsessed and fellow blogger amiga Frankie (check out her fab blog here!) and we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes and a glass of Prosecco. What more could a girl want, hey?! There was so much beauty, skincare, nail and hair goodness jam packed into one room, that we couldn't wait to find out more.

Like most girls, I suffer with spots and pimples. And I don't know about you, but I thought they would have buggered off by the age of 23! So with this in mind, the skincare goodies and gadgets were the ones I gravitated towards.

I've heard a lot about Clarisonic, particularly how their gadgets bring impurities to the surface and prevent any more pesky spots from starting. After seeing one in person and talking to the wonderful Emily about them in more detail, they really are becoming more appealing to me by the day. Having said that, if I were to buy from any of Current Body's skincare brands, it would be Foreo and in particular, the Luna Mini T-Sonic Cleansing Brush. It's such a nifty little thing and it feels so gentle, that I can imagine it being nothing but brilliant for your skin. It works by deeply cleansing and removing 6 times more make-up, oil and dirt from your pores; 3 things which you really don't want lingering on your skin.

I feel so much more knowledgeable about beauty, and skincare in particular, since the Current Body event and can't thank the team enough for such a lovely night. If you're after any skincare, hair or beauty products, definitely head over to their website, but be warned! It'll have you lusting over loads of gadgets...

One pair of Flares, Two Ways: Outfit 2

Jeans: Topshop/ Jacket: Tally Weijl/ Blouse: H&M/ Bag: New Look/ Scark: New Look via Asos

Oh England. I didn't think I'd still be wearing a shearling jacket in May but who am I kidding? It's England, and coats are kinda an all year round thing!

So here it is, the second way I've styled up these Topshop flares. This outfit has a real retro feel because of the skinny scarf and Top Gun-esque vibe jacket, but I think the smart blouse and modern backpack balance everything out. I haven't yet braved flares at work but if I did, this is definitely how I'd style them.

I'm looking forward to the weather bucking up its ideas so that I can style them with stripy crop tops and off-the-shoulder boho pieces. But I'm not counting my chickens...
